In Seattle one might get used to rainy days but never cold wet boots! MaxxDry™ dryers were developed in Seattle with one goal in mind: Keeping boots, shoes and gloves dry, warm and healthy!
Slipping on boots or gloves that are still damp from the last use can be seriously uncomfortable and cold. Previously, the only dryer on the market took hours (typically overnight) to dry by means of thermal convection and was limited to drying just a single pair of footwear. MaxxDry sought to speed up the process, allowing people to enjoy dry footwear and gloves throughout the day.
Wet boots and shoes are not just a result of wet weather, people sweat more than one can imagine through their hands and feet; in fact, hands and feet can collectively produce up to two cups of sweat per day. Footwear that doesn't get a chance to fully dry before its next use promotes a very unhealthy environment, allowing fungus and bacteria to grow and thrive in the damp setting. From this, Athlete's Foot can develop and worsen into chronic problems. Bacteria and fungus are also the primary source of odor that is often associated with old boots and shoes.
MaxxDry's solution: a footwear dryer engineered with a blower to gently force heated air throughout boots, shoes and gloves. This new "forced air" footwear dryer worked to perfection, changing the drying time from 8 hours to about 1 hour. Plus the addition of an extra set of dry ports meant that the new dryer could dry boots and gloves at the same time.
Today MaxxDry is used by more and more working men and women, athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, safety engineers and health care professionals - who understand the need for dry footwear. The MaxxDry line now offers several diverse products to dry and organize all type boots, shoes, gloves, waders and helmets.
